A New York judge sentenced President-elect Donald Trump to unconditional discharge Friday in his "hush money" case, meaning he will serve no jail time and receive no punishment for his conviction. The judge said that the sentence was his only option given Trump's return to the White House. Weijia Jiang explains. The Supreme Court on Friday heard arguments in a last-minute appeal from TikTok to halt a U.S. ban on the social media platform which could take effect later this month. Congress last year passed a law with bipartisan support that requires TikTok to divest itself from its Chinese owner ByteDance. Justices indicated they were likely in favor of upholding the ban. Multiple wildfires were still burning across the Los Angeles County area Friday as tens of thousands of people remained under evacuation orders and more than 10,000 structures were estimated to have been destroyed by the blazes.
